Went to BPS last night to pick p a few jars of nibbles. I typical BPS fashion, they were sold out of the color I needed. Got a raincheck. Just seems they always under estimate the demand. Thinking online shopping better option. Anyone else had the same experience. Also, store was empty of customers. Seems odd since they are having the Crappie Madness sale.

Honestly, my 14 year old son doesn't think BPS or Cabelas is cool anymore...so why waste a trip, when I can just get all my stuff online, cheaper and with free delivery!

Honestly I don't care what store it is or for that matter what product it is. It seems when these store advertise whatever "BIG EVENT" that's coming up that they all only have a few of any product just to bring people in. Lack of sales items is so rampant I'm actually more surprised when they do have anything. I still take a trip to BPS on occasion but I only go in between their events and generally I only buy a few filler items I'm running low on.

I generally try not to do much online shopping but I much rather support local stores, especially small businesses.
My favorite tackle store is down near Kentucky Lake. It's called Ken's TCB in Lake City, it's fantastic. He has a website but it's terrible. I stop there every year and find everything "on my list". His prices are very reasonable, his staff is friendly. He has more jigs and body styles & colors than I've seem anywhere. Huge selection of hard baits, terminal tackle and whatever equipment you may need. Since I make it to the area every year I use that trip to fill most of my years needs. If you get in the area, check it out.

They called "Doug" Allen first... But I guess he's recovering from back surgery... Something about carrying some Larry guy to much blew his back out!
Ask me about: Bobby Garland, CrappiePro, Yeti Coolers, Power-Pole, and Simms Products!

I buy more than what I should on-line. But being at least hour away from BPS or Cabelas forces me to if I'm in a hurry. Walmart has a limited selection & I'd just as soon spend my money elsewhere anyhow. Never been to TCB but if your ever going down the western Ky. parkway stop at Uncle Lee's in Greenville. You won't be disappointed. Used to be an annual stop.
