Thread: CC Repot

Took the Queen out for a early Sunday morning Caesars trip. We've had our butts kicked the last few times we ventured out in the mornings. We seem to do much better later in the day. Had a good idea where we went wrong the last few times, so this time we started shallow and worked deeper until we found them. Marked fish suspended and it didn't take long for them to put on the feed bag. We used jigs tipped with minnows about 4-6 ft and swam some hand ties with nipples. The 8" fish population is strong and next year it should be crazy good. We didn't keep anything under 10 but the one that's gill got hooked. Ended with 23 in the Lucky Bucket and headed home before noon. My neighbor did the honor of cleaning them. We've read about them being shallow this time of year but its hard to believe just how shallow the bigger ones will get.
