The "cats" of CJ are considered Wildlife by some officers, Don't get caught feeding them... If you ae camping, don't use a flashlight to go to the potty, you will be spotlighting for deer, don't forge to check the trailer after launch for cracks etc...

Heading out on CJ in the morning and I hope to be posting a few pic of fish as well as water conditions, temps and clarity.
May all the fish tales you catch be longer than the ones you tell !

I was out for a few hours yesterday. Surface temp 59° - 60° and 57° - 58° 15 feet down. Got half a dozen Crappies in the 10" range and a 21.5" Walleye. Conditions and clarity were good. Very, very few boats on the lake. I'll be back later in the week as it warms up a bit.

    See you out there.

Went out this morning (5/15) 8:45 till about 1:30 as I lost 1/2 hr + trying to find minnows as live bate. carry out ft4 & Villa rd was out, pay lakes at cj were out and saint the bate only lives 1 or 2 day and then dies (?) and the store by CJ doesn't open till 9am. With just Kietech had four keepers, four dinks and lost three as well (crappie). A little breezy at times ,water 62.5-65.7 and clarity was good and the water level was up. Three out of four crappie had eggs and that really surprised me so I hope to go at it again on CJ before the weekend weather permitting .Meanwhile I'll be on Indian tomorrow with my neighbor and will post on that later in the day on .

I was there at about the same time, got there 9:30 & left 1:15 or so ... 2 crappie and 2 white bass; nothing worth making the trip home. Do not know how I missed you, I was all over the lake.

Fished Saturday evening...another limit. All between 10.5 and 13 inches. I love those crews.
All fish deep, all big females in the area have dropped already....only small females had eggs.

Some of my BEST days of fishing have been during times when Ducks seek cover! lol
My Grandmother always said that fish don't know it's raining and they carry on as a normal day.....

Dale and I went out Saturday for 4 hours in the evening and had a GREAT day! Water was Muddy and high....fish were biting like crazy. Used 4 inch swimbaits, and craws only. Dale caught 81 fish (Crappie and WB) by himself and took pictures of every single one. He had a streak of 25 casts in a row with a fish.
We had 2 fish that went 9.5...all the rest were larger...one Crappie limit was comprised of all 13, 14, and two 15 inch fish. The WB limit was the same with my 16 inch kicker. The SMALL Crappie limit was all 11 and 12 inch fish.
Dale had BIG Crappie at 15.5, and I had another 16 inch WB....plus 4 Gators between 20 and 22.
And 3 Channels, that unlike Kitty Fishermen, were slaughtered and eaten!

    Pics later
