    James,

We are going to Erie in late June. We are going out walleye fishing the first day but will be on our boat the last two. How is the crappie bite then? Is that too late for a good bite? Thanks

That late has been hit and miss for me crappie fishing ....... You guys should do well Wally fishing then....... I have got em a few times in late June on deeper docks with shade ....... You'll prob have to do some looking around , it def is a little harder to get em later like that....... On the flip side the large mouth fishing in the harbors and bays is awesome around then..... good blue gills ( big ones ) in east harbor and Sandusky bay also...... If the lake lays down you could get out on the reefs and get into smallys , or find the schools of perch and do well also....... There's always something to catch at Erie...... We will be up there real close to , if not during that last few days of June first few of July ....... Mostly be targeting Wally's and bass...... PM me several days before you go and if I know anything I'll be glad to share.

Keep me posted on this. One friend is out for the 15th but I can check with others. I like trying new places and if it works out it should be fun.

Go for crappie in May. Its insane. I was bass fishing with 3.5" tubes and catching crappie... I was getting irritates honestly! I like catching the targeted species! I was fishing in Sandusky Bay.
