    Default east fork?

Thinking about heading up to east fork tomorrow for the first time in about a year and a half, anyone been doing any good? Is the lake up or muddy, not sure how much rain they got in the area, I know at my place in nky we had some heavy rain this past week. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I was there yesterday. I only had a couple of hours to fish and for me the bite was pretty slow. I didn't fish my usual spots, I more moved around and looked at something different.
I stayed on the lower end and the lake looked great and it's down maybe a couple feet from summer pool. I was there before the rain but I doubt the rain did too much.
Good luck if ya get out

I went to EF yesterday. We caught 25+ crappie. In coves and out in the main lake in about 8-10 feet of water. They were close to the bottom. They had a strong preference for minnows over jigs.

Water looked great. I thought it would be muddy. Not at all. Maybe slightly stained. All the algae is gone too. Water still quite warm. But I think the rain really cleaned things up. Should be good fishing next couple of weeks there.

Ended up going to gunpowder creek instead, creek was a little stained. Caught around 20 with only 3 being in the 10 inch range, if we get the rain this week they are calling for it could sure mess things up for next weekend

I think you are in my neck of the woods. I fished Big Bone Creek a few weeks back. Did ok. One 12" and a few smaller. I find your numbers will be fewer in the river/creeks but the size bigger on average. I'm going to try and hit Big Bone this week if the water isn't too high. Visiting Craigs Creek in Warsaw was on my to-do list this year but I'm running out of time. It looks like some good crappie water down there. Next year, I want to try the Kentucky River too. But East Fork is in good shape right now and they are biting pretty good there.

I went to EF today and bite was tough as hell..... Weather has been all over the place though...... Water color in my opinion perfect... Almost not enough color for my liking..... I'm not sure why but I have a hard time catching fish when the 1" long shad are literally EVERYWHERE! Saw another tournament fisherman today also.... He caught 1 crappie and one hybrid in about two hours and went home.... Bout the same as me... I had 4 not one keeper. H20 temp still mid to high 60s.... My other home lake is already high 50's and I'm doing very well there.......

mbk, i occasionally fish Big Bone, but have only done well there 1 time. Have gotten close to limiting out on Gunpowder a few times, so that is usually my go to. I have never fished Craigs creek, but my uncle goes there pretty often, and does well. I want to get back down to Paint Lick Creek, but i have to choose my day wisely cause i do not want to get stuck on a windy day, facing 3'+ rollers on the river.

I was at EF yesterday for a few hours. Bite was slow but I managed enough to make it interesting.
I do want to let everyone know that Sherry's is closed for the winter. Also they pulled the dock at the Bantam Ramp. I'm sure they pulled them because they had some significant damage last winter from the ice. This is crazy. We won't have ice for another 2 1/2 months the water temp is still in the 60's. Everyone should call the park office and complain. It's going to make it tough for you guys in the glass boats.
