We thought for sure we would pull some of the Ohio faithful by adding a few ways to get a nice check. From the post a couple weeks ago about crappie clubs, it seems like there just isn't that much interest in the area. Live and learn.

Maybe it was just a tough year for every one. If I remember correctly, last year you guys had a decent turn out.
July is a tough time for folks to get out and just play. It's family time; lots of people on vacation, cook outs & family reunions going on. I know at work our employee count goes way down. Our order counts drops too so it happens lots of places.
You guys seem to have an over all good following for your tournaments.

Fillet, thats a shame, I was hoping you would have a large turn out. Partner and I was thinking about it but we are in bass mode now.

not alot of ohio teams fish ISM, i think only 4 teams over the pass 4 years.
there was 5-8 teams that was going to try to make it, but only 2 teams showed up.
i talk to 3 other that could not because of family & work...
but the real surprise was the Indiana teams that did not show,
and more so the ones that went home because of a slow bite...
i hope the club try again next year, this super tournament no live bait was a good time
i hope everyone can make it to morse reservoir sept 13th see you on the water...

I've seen that before; lots of folks have good intentions and might like to try, but don't follow through. Those "promises" sucked me in last year so that I thought the BCC still had a chance. Sure hope ISM isn't going that way, seems like a good circuit.

I believe the club will still try to expand off of this "Super Open" Event, but this locale has produced the worst two turnouts for the club. Can't deny the facts, there. Nearly every other event the club has had produced as least twice as many boats. I still really enjoy fishing the river tribs, because the fishing can be second to none around here. There have been warnings about having an event too early or too late, due to water conditions. Maybe we would better our chances by rolling the dice during the spring, but we sure don't want to turn off members if they simply do not want to fish this fishery. See you in a few weeks.
