Went up on Saturday and stayed through Monday afternoon. Crappie bite was slow for me. I ended the weekend with about 20 but only 18 keepers.
Biggest was 11.75" and would have made the crappie tourney guys jealous (Chunky). Smallest two were 6 and 7" but skinny. We must have caught 50 between pops, me, and possible BNL. He's a bass guy but found that using small float and heavier jig works really well. Two weeks ago, rocks were key, this weekend was more about wood. 35-40 were >9" with the biggest being 12".
Not sure what that means but we never left our "community" to fish. A tourney boat sat in the same spot for 7 hours and pulled out at least 20. Seemed like they put newest in livewell and took 1 out. They limited in 30 minutes.
We had crappie tacos Sunday. I'm officially a believe in eating crappie now. YUMMY! Had some before but reheated. These were fresh. Again YUM! All were caught from GLSM within the past 3 weeks. Thanks Mark and Scott for your earlier contribution!

Thanks for the info. I hope they really take off and do well.
If it takes 3 years to be keeper size some should be the right size just in time for ice fishing if I decide to retire at the end of next year.
