Thread: Biggest Crappie Caught in Ohio

I thought it might be interesting to see each persons personal best Crappie caught in Ohio waters. (length, weight, location caught, year, pics)??

AEFishing helped net him (and he never nets my fish)

Know of a 17+" taken from CJ Brown last early June, measured said fish while guy is yelling for the Park ranger, cause EVRYONE nearby "quickly "paylaked' him off that spot; the Park Ranger was impressed, but ultimately unhelpful...more interesting is the fact that during the last crappie population "shocking" a 20+" crappie was recovered, weighed, measured and released by ODNR.

Hillbilly, I want to see that pic... 17" out of East Fork has to be close to a record! That's 10" bigger than the average, lol.....

wow thats a hawg...nice fish!!!

caught13 today-average of 11", one was 14&1/2 water is still cold here,hoping it warms up a little to get them going.thanks for the compliments also!I look at it everyday and hope I can beat the size,but that is asking alot!
