My Pops went up Wednesday to the lake. He started out in our channel with a grub, no bites, went to a tube and tried various colors, no luck. So he headed to to spillway to try for walleye or bass. He said there were on average 15 fisherman at any given time the 1.5 he spent there. He didn't catch anything, no bites but did see a couple crappies caught, a few gills, and a horse of a sheephead.

Returned to our cottage and decided to try again. It was almost sundown, he was actually waiting on a tenderloin from Villanova's and plopped a 1" gulp minnow into our favorite honey hole........ Caught two in five minutes. No real size, a 4" and a 6-7".

He's going up again this afternoon. I'm hoping to go tomorrow morning early before the rain sets in and the cool off happens.

On 2-10 my pop headed up to GLSM and actually caught something I've never seen in the lake..........a Perch! No crappies, no other bites but he caught a Perch. Unreal! I hoped to go up this weekend but heard there was still quite a bit of ice on the lake. He went over to the spillway and said ~20 people fishing it. Watched them for 10 minutes but didn't see anyone pull anything out of there. With this week getting into the 50's, hopefully ice is out for good.
