    Thumbs up caught 1

Actually I've got 2 so far.
Every fall I need to take a break from the front of my boat to spend some quality time in a tree stand.
This year my hunting partner and I both decided that due to a whole lot of reasons we were not going to hunt alone anymore. We've finally accepted the fact we're falling apart. So, when he called me Thursday evening and asked if I could take off Friday and hunt all weekend, I accepted. He starts a new job this week so it would probably be my last chance at any week day hunting till next year.
I tagged a doe on Friday evening and on Sunday morning I took this guy. He suffered some ground shrinkage (just like my fish do) but after passing 2 other 8 pointers in the past few weeks. I was getting a little "anxious".

I got to say I've seen more deer this year than I have in 35 years of bowhunting.
My friend was also seeing a bunch of deer and Friday evening he was drawing his bow on a nice 10 point @15 yards when I sent him a text. His phone whent off and so did the buck. He would never take the time to find out how to put his phone on vibrate, he didn't think the noise would bother a deer. When we met on Saturday morning, he had his phone on vibrate.
I know I'm not the only other hunter out there, anyone else doing any good?

i dont bow hunt anymore, but my gun season opens next weekend.
I squirrel hunt about as much as i fish(alot).

Looks like he had a huge neck, got any idea what he weighed?
Them antlers are sure purty, but they dont eat near as well as the rest of him.(what a wise old man once told me)

Getting ready for gun season in Kentucky on the 13th. Been seeing some nice bucks. However rabbit season opened this week. Took the day off on Tuesday and jumped 10. The dogs looked real good. Normally jump about 150 every season. If I could catch fish I would be a well rounded hunter. Who am I kidding I am well rounded. Haha.

I am fortunate to have some honey holes for rabbit hunting. There is a lot of good cover with agriculture. Now quail on the other hand are nearly extinct. I know where one covey is and I don't bother them. Anyone need a good bird dog? So you squirrel hunt with dogs? One of my buddies have some good squirrel dogs. Anyone up for a hunt?
