rockbass, I fish Tappan, Clendining, and Piedmont. I had a lousy spring, couldn't find them in the usual spots. It's been way too hot for me all summer. I'm waiting for the water to cool down to get back out.
All I ever see in the Ohio section is East Fork. Are there any guys fishing the eastern half of the state? or is it just the EF gang on this site?
Maybe people are too leary about sharing info about other lakes?

be a trend setter. somebody has to start
Start posting your results, you don't have to give specifics. Just general stuff. Maybe you can get a few more guys to join in if they see your activity.
I know this spring there seemed to be quite an increase in posting from all over the state. I think Yates even comented on how it was good to see all the new names. Maybe it just got to hot for everyone. Personally i don't care if it's hot or not, I'm going fishing.
I know what you are saying. I did ok in spring at Clendening, but I only fished from March till April there. I am trying to learn the crappie game and am always lookin for some info more local. general info helps a newbie a lot.
The wter temps are down toward the mid 70's at Tappan and Clendening. anywhere from 73 to 78 last weekend actually. These cooler days ahead are gonna help that a lot. Let me know if you make it up this way. I can try to meet up with ya at the ramp for a little BS/tip session.
rockbass & wvsportsman keep posting your experiences from your neck of the woods, would be nice to read about some other places than just EF.

I WOULD be giving reports on Celina but it's a toxic waste dump that glows in the dark
Loramie is a mud puddle overpopulated with baby catfish. I have caught a few nice crappie out of there but never any numbers. Trolled for saugeyes a few times but only got a sunburn.
Both of these lakes ^^^^ are about twenty miles from me.
Indian is a nice lake. Bout 50 miles from me. I've got there twice this summer. Caught a few crappie, channel cats, 1 walleye and Dad caught a 12 in perch, We didn' even know what it was at first, we've cleaned hundreds of 8 inchers in michigan over the years and didn't know they got any bigger:D
Ceasars creek is 75 miles away and I LOVE THAT LAKE CAUSE IT HAS STUPID MUSKYS IN IT:D
This is a great site to learn from. Probably 5 or 6 years ago. I started fishing crappies full time. I went from hardly catching anything in the summer to having some really good days. Keep reading, posting and asking questions.
If you are struggeling and having a hard time finding fish, ask questions. Sometime the answers will come in a post, sometimes in a PM and somtimes not at all. Just keep at it. Just because some info isn't local to your area, doesn't mean the info won't help you.
Like James said just keep posting what your results are and maybe it will encourage other folks in you area to join in.
Nope, can`t say that fish anywhere but CJ.
Thanks for the ideas.
So far I have learned a good bit from the site, but for Ohio waters specifically, nothing that is like what I fish. I keep on readin though, and keep collecting baits. I'm glad I make my own jigheads or I'd be gettin upset with all the jigs I've lost.....hahaha.
I hope I am not telling you something you already know, but you may want to try this link:
Eastern Buckeye Crappie Club - Crappie.com
It's for the "Eastern Buckeye Crappie Club"... I think they talk more about Eastern Ohio areas.
