Boy and I went to the gun show in Richmond this weekend. Stopped by a table and bought 3 small items I wanted. $20 total. Handed him a 20 and took the bag and walked on. A couple minutes later, the guy taps me on the shoulder, sticks out four $1 bills and says "My math was off. I over charged you.". I say thanks and pocket the money. Guy heads off into the crowd. Boy is standing there looking at me, waiting for me to catch up mentally. He gives me a "think about it Gump" look and says "6, 6 and 8 is 20. That $4 is his. Hurry back".
I know the world has problems, but it's cool when a stranger goes out of his way to do the right thing, and then your kid holds you to the same standard. Sometimes little things warm me up inside. (plus, I know if we had kept that money, my transmission would have locked up on the way home. or something similar)
Good fishing guys. April is here.
