Its actually come down over the past year to about the same fee as the big ground rigs charge because they sport booms up to 120 feet. I just can't see buying a $240,000 ground rig that is only good for one thing, then have a wet spell hit and have to pay the plane anyway. cheaper to pay someone else to spray than own unless You have at least a couple thousand acres or maybe a thousand acres of cotton.CF

Awesome pics! loved the crop duster pictures.

My grandpa used to drive an old red combine that looked similar to this. That thing kicked up some dust.

Ekim, I am like a kid when it comes to the crop duster. I get great views of that thing coming right at you. This guy will fly under power lines to do a good job. He told me he can't see the lines, only the poles!CF

Average Start is last week in may to mid-june, this year received 16" of rain in may into june! Almost cut on the Fourth!

But the variety "Everest" really stood up to all the rust from the past years & still produced good berries & at 61lbs. & approx 45 an acre.
What variety was that in the pics? My main variety is Jagger, but the wind usually gets its a bit(almost armpit tall)

The variety# escapes me but it was two southern harvest varieties. Bred for my area. We are growing SRW here. Yield was on the lower side this year with the cold wet winter we had. Averaged around 80 bushels. Had some do 100. 93 bushels is our average over past 5 years.
