Question - when you're driving something like this in a big field.....do you have to stay on constant alert, watching, listening, feeling, etc for problems or......do you crank up some tunes and space out?
It has a radio but does not get used. It has alarm system for every moving system (rotor, feeder housing chains...etc). You have to listen for things too though. When beans are tough, they sound like cinder blocks going through the machine. They can jam the rotor and on this particular machine, you have to use a 4' long wrench to break the was loose by turning the rotor by hand. This is usually my job and it sucks. You also have to feel for vibrations that show up letting you know that something is flying all to pieces.CF
