Default Back on my feet again.

I thought I would give an update as to my well being and it is all good. After losing my wife Christmas Day I sunk to a level of depression that I had not even thought was possible. As recent as two months ago I was still losing weight and fighting depression when I decided to go back on testosterone (I am 50) which I had been on for the 6 months prior to losing my wife last year . After being back on testosterone for roughly 10 days it was as if someone had turned a switch on and I immediately had my appetite back and could notice my overall mood was improving. I have since put on nearly 10lbs of muscle. The window for "normal" free testosterone is pretty wide, 7-21 and mine was down around 6. (free T is a better indicator than total T) It would seem that the combination of low T and depression was too much for my body to handle. I am not worried about the lawsuit commercials that you see on TV as I am being closely monitored by a specialist and am not taking the type testosterone that the lawsuits are based on. (I have to give 7 vials of blood every 12 months for analysis along with other check ups) So for me, testosterone has helped greatly.

It was only through my relationship with God and all the prayers that I have received that I have been able to heal and move on in life. God has also blessed me with a beautiful Christian woman that I met recently and have been dating. I will always be married to my wife Debbie and I will always love her but I feel as if God is calling me to move on in life. My girlfriend and I start our dates with Bible study and to me, it does not get any better than that.

As for fishing, I have been going out some but have not been doing well at all. In 2012 I had my best year when I caught 3,705 crappie and averaged 55 per trip, last year I caught 2,774 and averaged 43 per trip, but this year I have only caught 437 and am only averaging 19 per trip so not a good year for me.

So amazingly, through the power of God I am a new man, starting life over at the age of 50. Thank you again to all that prayed for me, God has answered your prayers.

    Hey George,

It is nice to hear that you are feeling a better, and you are finding a little happiness is still out there in other places.

    Good luck and best wishes.
