taps, you need to go and hold a bunch of pistols. I like a pistol with a safety or a revolver, that being said, if i wanna carry one inside my waist, a glock is so light, that seems like a better solution. I just cant get past the safety... I want a lightweight pistol with a safety

IMHO, personally, I prefer the stopping power of the 45 Auto. Ammunition price not ridiculous, especially if you can find reloads.

I'd recommend Bob's as well. Most places will be close to one another in terms of price and Bob's has a range you can use to see what you like. Shooting a couple of different guns will give you a feel for what you like/don't like. I am partial to Glock's, and as mentioned earlier, a 26 or 19 are good choices. I find I am more accurate with the 26 even though it has a shorter barrel than the 19. Go figure.... For EDC, a Ruger LCP is hard to beat. Ammo is little on the high side, but its comfortable. Again, all are available at Bob's and a purchase there will get you a range card. I think it's good for 10 visits.

I like the Springfield XD series which has numerous built in safeties. Leaning towards 9mm.

What ever gun you decide on, good luck finding ammo. Homeland security is buying it up faster than it can be made.

Jet beat me to it,, I was going to say , check out the ammo also, homeland is buying ALOT.. some ammo can be hard to find. Also I believe Odamadingdong is going to put heavy taxes on lead ammo.. (Well won't be a tax because that has to pass congress, but will use EPA to put pentalies on lead)
