Separate, but both have ownership to both accounts. You folks make sure of this. Just because you both can write checks on both accounts does not necessarily mean that you have "ownership". I learned about this years ago while talking with my banker.Our accounts are at separate banks.
That being said, I have all the bills bank drafted out of my account and Doris buys all the groceries. She always has more money.She says that is the way it is suppose to be.

Well, with this govt Sequestration coming in April if a budget is not passed, I have began looking where I can cut things. The furlough cuts 10% off of my salary, which isnt so bad, except its donr over a 6 month period of time. We have a set budget. It just seems we should be saving and thats not always the case.

Yes, if Sequestration is implemented, there wont be nothing to save, period. I pray it doesnt happen, but in reality, they aint passed a budget in how many years? What makes this year any different? I say its coming, and when it does, I will not be buying any minnows

I'm feeling the furlough heat. It sure will be nice to have a few more days to go fishing (22 work days between Apr and Sep) but too bad they are not paid. I hate to lose the money too, I live from paycheck-to-paycheck. It is gonna hurt, because pay has already been frozen for 3 years, while living prices sky-rocketed.
