OK PP, 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 liter Cummins diesel. 5 speed manual transmission. odometer stopped at around 550000 miles and is still going. Little work done to truck. still running strong today.

1999 Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 liter cummins diesel. 5 speed manual transmission. 350000 miles and still running. My old truck and now my son drives it. Little work done on this truck.

2009 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 cummins diesel. 6 speed manual transmission. 112000 miles and other than a blown turbo due to exhaust flaw, no trouble. Exhaust mod at 20000miles and no trouble since.

Dad's truck. 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 cummins diesel. 6 speed manual transmission. 80000 miles, exhaust modification, no trouble.

4 tractors with cummins, a Combine with cummins, a cotton picker with cummins, and a International Eagle semi with Cummins.

Only one blown motor on the Combine but it is 9 years old. 3 tractors are 20 years old, semi is an 1988 with over 8000000 on it and still going strong.

You can tell we are Dodge and cummins fans. Got the miles and the years to prove it. Ain't got much respect for a diesel made by Izuzu.CF

Percidae, My old truck (the 99) You had to turn it off at the drive through but the 6.7 liter engines are quieter and not much louder than a gas motor. NOW, My Son got the 99 and first thing he did was cut the muffler off, slap some 35 inch mud tires on it, added some custom gauges, I had new paint put on it, and She looks right now. I'll try to get some pics of it on here. Not worried about him running too fast cause it has 4.10 gears in the rear and at 75, it sounds like it will blow.

That motor is loud enough with the muffler on. When He took it off, well, best way I can describe it is it sounds like a Peterbuilt with no mufflers and the jake brake on all the time. It was quiet at the shop the other day. No wind at all. I heard him coming to the shop. I could hear him slowing and speeding up for the curves. I counted the curves and checked the odometer and when I first heard him he was 3 and a half frikken miles away. I do not know how he has not gotten a noise ordinance ticket in Edenton yet. Already told him that baby would be his to pay. The only thing they have gotten on him about is window tint. Only bad part about owning all these diesels is the price of the dang fuel. When we first started getting diesels, fuel was 20 cents lower than gas. Now it is 30 cents higher down here. Don't make any since to me since it is a by product of gas. Costing us around 400 dollars a week in fuel right now. farm fuel is 3.60 a gallon. 100 gallon tank on tractors and Your talking 360 bucks that can be burnt a day. Fuel is a major issue.CF
