This is what I have used on my old 9.9 Johnson. Does not require drilling holes in your motor.

hi Fellas, been awhile since I was on her and just starting to get back into it.
Just got my jon boat about set up and I was wondering if any of yall use any kind of rock guard, or a pitch fork on the lower unit? I'll be fishing South Anna and upper Paumkey river.
you only forget to put the plug in the boat once

Never seen one quite like that but it looks really sturdy. I bet it does a good job.

I've used the Macks River Runner for years.... helps when dragging your prop thru sand on the Nottoway during the summer. plan on losing at least 4 mph

I used it on a 14' Fisher Marine and didn't feel like the fins did me any good , so I cut them off. Still gave me the protection I wanted.
