Default Racked Terrova with the prop spinning... Lost power after that!

When it locked in, the prop stopped... Next time I let it down, there was no power... HELP!
Haven't checked the fuse in the head yet, but something went wrong....
Anyone have any input on this?

Could it have sheared a pin in the prop?

Not fuse in head I don’t think. Try this. While holding motor shaft, release tilt lever, slide motor forward then pull it back into locked position. Try this a couple of times. There is a switch in there that is activated to cut power off when you retrevie motor and stow. Could be off just a tiny bit and not reingaging when you put motor out.

That was exactly what I suspected, and tried, out on the water with no luck... Gonna have to check it out a little closer today. Hoping it's just hung up, and not in need of replacement. Coudn't really tear into it out there... Hoping for a quick fix, cause this is not the time to be down!

It appears that Minn Kota loves magnetically controlled switches. Fixing to get inside and see if that is the problem. Unfortunately, the switch is mounted in the control board, which is a $200 part...

Yep... Fixing to get into a total check out of the line, then if necessary dive into the motor...

Well, that didn't take too long... I had installed a breaker, and it broke...So, I had bypassed it, and one of the crimps came loose. So, no fire to the outlet! Quick fix, all labor!
