I just read this quote in the Clarion Ledger.
"During the hunting season in Mississippi for mourning and white-winged dove, a hunter is allowed to kill 15 during each of the three hunting periods or a total of 45 during the entire hunting period, which ends Jan. 31."
Now, I never understood the limit to be for an entire "season." I thought there was a "daily bag limit" of 15 birds. Now it is possible that this has changed since I was a young man and hunted birds hard, but I certainly remember taking the limit multiple days in the 80's and 90's, and often had game wardens hunting with us.
Educate me.........
