Back in the day when mine might have been the age of Taylor there were 3 wheeler s. I wanted one and my kids would have loved one. After seeing 3 wrecks at Butla spillway I said no and told the kids no.
Years later my sister bought one for her son. The only place he could ride was at my mom's. 6 months later every damp spot was now a foot deep mud hole. I heard about it for the next year and had to fix some of the spots.
Then mine are old enough to drive and want their own ride. I told them a ride and play toy aren't the same. One was stuck in Butla bottoms for an hour. Cost him $200 for a farmer to pull it out. He cut all his knuckles driving home and it sat in the driveway while all the glass was being replaced.
The other was stuck about a mile from the house over night. There weren't enough parts left to call a scrapper.

My 8 year old son flippdd his small 4 wheeler and i thought it was the end of the world. I got back problens but that day i was superman flying through the air and not giving and cares to what i had issues with. His mom was 20 feet from him on her 4 wheeler and yet i sprinted 75 yards to him before she could get stopped and off the thing. Hope young dude is ok thinking of him and his family.

Prayers for the family. I’ve seen a lot of bad stuff over my career. The ones involving children always stay with you.

John, I can't imagine a more heartbreaking photo but wonderful tribute to a young man taken much too early. My prayers continue to go out to the family and community.

Today is my granddaughter's 14th birthday. I'll give her an extra hug tonight.
