plenty of places but probably they most productive would be the spillway. you can always catch catfish there but the crappie can get thick there too.
Going to be living by myself in Brandon near the reservoir during at least the first phase of our relocation. Is there any place I could go in the afternoons after work to just fish off the bank for a while? I don't really care what I catch, but I figure catfish would likely be the most cooperative. Watching TV bores me anymore so I'd like to find something enjoyable and relaxing to do. Thanks in advance.

Pier at Pelehatchie Bay .
On certain afternoons, I can be found in the boat alone... Good time to ring me up...

When you see mayflies everywhere, go up along the Natchez Trace and pull over near any cypress tree at the lakes edge. Take you an ultra light and a tube of crickets. Bream will tear em up. There's 3-4 places like that

Thanks, CliffordN. I may take you up on that some afternoon after I get somewhat settled into the new job. DonDon, I'll have to try that. Nothing much more fun than getting into a bed of bream with an ultralight and a tube of crickets!
PM me, and I will give you my contact info...
DonDon, can you please let me know when that Mayfly time is? I like to catch bream and use them to catch catfish...
Not sure Clifford but figure may. MAY flies? hehe

I've seen them on Pickwick in early July, there was one year where everything in sight was covered with them.
I got 350 heads on a 305 engine.
I get 6 miles to the gallon.
I aint got no good intentions.
