Unhook your boat after a night of fishing and forget to disconnect the safety brake wire. Drive off with it hooked up and pop the hook off. Exactly what happens. Are the brakes locked now. I'm posting here cause I know y'all run glass boats with them.

Yes, the brakes are locked if contact is broken between the truck and trailer. Those are same safety wires are on pull-type campers. Look for a connector on the other end. Hook them back together, and the brakes should unlock. Hope this helps you!

Hey, Bama. The best way to prevent this from happening again, weave the safety brake cable through the safety chain. When you unhook your safety chains, you will see that it is still hooked up.

On most campers I have seen...when you reconnect the plug.. the brakes will be free...I bet it works the same on the boat..You may have to reconnect the boat wires to the truck if it worked off the truck battery.. Which I assume it did
X2! That’s how my ranger is.

I think they are talking about your boat trailer plug. Plug trailer back into the truck and that should free up the brakes.
