The Dead Sea rises again!All that habitat we put in last year should have plenty of water over it!!

Another 1.29 and it will be going over the wall.
We drove down to the spillway yesterday. A few were fishing, didn't see any catching.

Get ready down that way, we're sending a bunch of water your way. KY Lake will be 8 feet over summer pool by weekend. That's 8 feet on a lake that is already 160,000 acres at summer pool.

Greenwood, MS on the Yazoo river is one of the main locations the COE watch when dumping water from the big 4. Their flood stage is 33.11 and the river is at 32.90. All the lakes will be holding back as much water as they can for now. If it goes over the wall there's nothing they can do. They'll be watching to see what lakes can have a discharge. The lakes with locks, the lock discharge down stream and some product electricity. Can't stop all the flow from them.

Only .8 left before she goes over. Should see that in next couple of days as much water that is headed that way. All gates completely shut off. As much water as I saw in the delta yesterday sure no place for it to go. Every creek,stream and ditch out of banks. Saw houses with water up in yard and up to houses in lots of places. Wouldn't take much to have a real disaster down that way.

Yes, Miss at Memphis forecast to crest around 36.5 which shouldn't be too bad. BUT, with the Ohio flooding, bet it's gonna be higher!

Flooding will continue to be a threat this week as more rain falls and runoffs continue, Accuweather said. More than 200 river gauges reported levels above flood stage from the Great Lakes to eastern Texas, the Weather Channel reported. By Sunday, the river gauge near downtown Louisville showed the Ohio River at 34.9 feet. The normal level is about 12 feet. In 1997, the water was measured at 38.8 feet; roughly 50,000 homes flooded, and the Louisville area alone saw $200 million in damage"

Yes there's a LOT of water coming! Forecast for more rain Wed & Sat... Typical for early Spring. However, the length or time above flood level is what really screws things up. Remember 2011? Water STAYED high all Spring. That's what hurts! According to the forecasts, it'll stay up for a while; no predicted fall until mid-March!!
