I can’t understand for the life of me why that area is not a no wake zone. Not even close to that amount of boat traffic at the bridge at Pelahatchie Bay and it is idle only. In and out of Main Harbor is a no wake zone and there is hardly ever 2 boats pass each other there. But at 43....mash the gas as hard as you can. SMH!!!

I started fishing the Rez , around 50yrs ago. I have seen many boat accidents there, most of them were caused by being stupid. I have seen faces stuck thur windshields, broken arms, legs and many a torn up boat. I quit fishing it during summer. It's a dangerous lake. But I love it.

With boats running 60 to 70 mph trying to get there first. Looking at fish sonars and phones distracting the boat drive. More people,
jet skies and boats not to mention people drinking(DWI). I think more crashes will happen on the Lakes.
Be safe and good luck fishing

The more money someone Pours into a Bass boat indicates the reasoning ability of the Purchaser -- so the Dealer throws in free crash helmets and Injection seats...

Good luck on that. All them boys in the bass rockets been fighting it for years. Don’t think they will ever bow down. They have deep pockets and close ties to the powers that be.

What blows my mind is how they sink that kind of money into a boat to catch a fish that can be had in bigger and better quantities in lakes/ ponds that don't require a gas motor at all. No way I'd actually travel hours to catch one. A 10 acre private lake under management is where I would actually travel to go fish for trophy bass- NOT a 30,000 acre lake, but hey, what's that they say about having an opinion...?

A family member of mine is a b*** fisherman who just bought a new boat. All he talks about is his inability to afford the next size motor up, and his boat's inability to surpass the 65 mph milestone. There's no discussion of, "how it fishes," or, actual fishing features- ONLY how fast it'll go (or with a sad expression on his face, how fast it WON'T go).

It's just bazaar to me...perplexing at the least.

I know back when I used to go to boat races every weekend, dang if a bass tournament wouldn’t break out.

I have a question after reading this thread. WHO is supposed to POLICE these waters for safety violations on this lake since it is NOT a COE facility??
