    Default Ram mounts

Witch ram mouth do you like best? I not a fan of the ball mounts that I have right now it may be mine to small. I not sure of what size I need to hold up a 10 or 12" unit on the bow also.
All men are created equal, some work harder in the preseason.

This is one I have with a 998 on it.

Here is same mount with different base. Just figure where you want to mount and pick your base. I cut a 6x6 1/4 in aluminum plate as a backing plate for mine. It's solid as a rock and dosnt move going down the lake or hwy.

I have the Ram Double 6" swing arm with 6.25" X 2" rectangle base and horizontal mounting base. The part # is RAM-109H-1U. They also have a vertical mounting option and a single swing arm unit. That all depends on how much of a reach you need. They are very sturdy and it is just what I needed. The only drawback with Ram is their prices. I have a Humminbird 1198 with a 10.4" screen.

I like Balzout for the larger graphs . When I went to a 9 screen , I went w/balzout. Talked to a few guys who had problems with the big rams( 2" + Diameters) when the water was rough. Balzout are a little more , but what's 50 buck when you talking a 1000 + graph ? I love mine, customer service is great . Rams is not .

I've got the large ball RAM mount for my 9 HDS and I have to give it all I've got to tighten it enough not to fall over while going down the highway. It just seems like it should be stronger than it is.
