    Looks dangerous to me not knowing how thick the ice would be and chance of falling through and getting hung under the ice.

    Definitely not one the the smartest things I've seen done before. Ice is perculiar, and what looks solid is often not. The rescue effort needed potentially would be life threatening for all. I lived in SD for four years, near the Missouri River. It froze every year, as did lakes. But even with temps below zero for a month, ice could still be dangerous.

    drones are such cool things and that is an awesome video. I too thought of the rescuers having to fight thru to get the dummys !
