I had a couple buddies talk me into carrying them to Lake guntersville to go catch some green carp last week. Top water bite was suppose to just be on absolute fire. We hired a guide the first day, only bite that we could find was a slow worm bite. Think we got 1 frog bite right at dark the whole trip! I tried shooting some docks but don’t believe I found any deep enough without grass in it to catch a crappie

Hey, I'm going to Guntersville the week of thanksgiving. Got a cabin on the water, south of the dam on the west side and am planing to crappie fish several days. Any advice? I've never been there before but hear spider rigging near the bridges and river ledges should be good then.

Good luck! We stayed at Waterfront Bay, about midway on the lake. It is a shallow lake, like 8-12 ft everywhere out of the channel and few creeks that i found. Wish I would have had all of my long poles with me, bc that bassin wore me out! Not so bad if youre catching, but dang throwing a crankbait or a frog all day and not catching anything hardly! I did go out to a bridge early one morning where a fellow had caught 15 the morning before but I believe the boat traffic of a 300 boat tournament had em stirred up!
