Love me a whole fried fish from time to time! My grandfather used to fillet those small white river catfish and chop off the tail and cook fillets and tails! It was some kinda good!

Yep! and always start by eating the crispy tail. Those look just right. Lots of people(and my wife) just don't know how to eat whole fish. Like I said start with that crispy tail. Then pull the fins out from the top and bottom out which bring the small fin bones out with them then other than the rib bones it is all meat down to the main skeleton bone. Man that picture is sure making me hungry.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Everything is better cooked on the bone.

Yep, pulling that top fin out is the key, exposes all that good meat with no bones.
