    Default Helix 5 and 9

I have a helix 5 DI GPS on the transom
And a Helix 9 DI GPS on the trolling motor, anybody know what settings I should run the 9 on? My 5 in the back has a way sharper image and better pictures than my 9! I figured the 9 would be better and sharper but it's not at all, any suggestions?

I would think they would use the same settings. Of course, it depends on what transducer you are using. If the transducers are the same, then I would expect similar pictures.

No seems the same when it's on or off, they are hooked up to two different batteries

A twisted pair of wires from cranking battery to fish finder for power source wires will usually remove interferrance from TM.

No it's a mounted transducer....it's not terrible picture quality but the helix 5 is much more sharp and crips and I can see more detail

Does the 5 do the same thing as the 7 when up front, or is the 7 still fuzzier when hooked to the console wiring? Swap the wiring harness and see if you haven't.
