I have direct tv.... I can only have sat. where i live no cable. Dish network did not offer the local channels so i went with direct. It was fairly priced for the first 12 months while the promo pricing was involved, and they give you all the movie channels free for a few months but if you dont call and tell them to turn them off after the promo is over they will charge you for each one of them. I learned that the hard way with a high dollar bill. Over all i guess im happy with the service it is a little high my bill is just over 100 bucks a month

had both..prefer DirecTv. Gotta call every so often to convince them you're worth keepin with some discounts, etc. Their 'client retention' unit will help you if you ask.....several times. lol

I quite the TV providers years ago. Put a outside antenna up and get 13 free channels and the clearest pictures way better than theirs. I use my Roku and save a pile of money and never plan to have a TV cable provider again.

I live about 25 miles from the antenna tower. Type in your zip code here to see how far from tower you are and to see what type antenna you may need. Remember anything that is between you and the tower will hurt your reception.

Here is the antenna I have also.
