Yes sir, didn't know if they stockpiled everything in one area to set out. Figured maybe could use boat to haul material anywhere on the lake a little faster then driving to it. Dock the boat in the shallows and wade to land to set out stakes and trees. Seems like they stockpile there stuff in the areas they won't it put out in? First habitat day I've ever attended so wasn't sure how it works. I seen folks at butla last year along with the corp sinking trees in the lake by boat. I will leave the boat, if I won't need it.

You wont need it..probably won't need tour waders. The ones I have been to seem to have the trees cut, and rowed up...people stand by them, hook them to whatever 4 wheeler comes up...they drag them to place by flags the Corp has set...some people then tie weights to the trees.. They have stakes, and drivers ..not sure how they decide how to do the beds...Then you can do your own thing like Jimmy does.. I am sure there are other projects going on...The kids on the 4 wheelers, have that job covered for sure..A fun day for a good cause..Plus a meal

Would love to see some pics from these work days. Thinking it would be pretty cool to make it down one year and help out. Be nice to give back to your great crappie lakes I dream about every day!

A change of plans for me. I was asked, when was the last time you fished Nader? When will you fish it again?
Saturday 02/11 I'll be at Sardis.

Thats a great attitude! its a great thing that's going on for sure. These lakes were built on a 100 year plan according to the corp of engineers. After 100 years I'm not sure if there gonna drain the lakes and then dig them back out or what. But I can see over the years that I've been fishing the habitat is going down every year.. except the really low years we are blessed with with weeds that create incredible spawning grounds.
