I'm going to use my TC 35 Wheelen again this year for the first one, assuming I get that one. You jogged my memory with that pic, thanks. I got out my Ole TC 30 cal And think I will get a new scope for it and use if after that first one, again assuming.
Years ago I missed a couple with this Pro Point and just put it in the safe. Time to upgrade the optics and make a check on the bucket list.

What's your effective range with that handgun Knightshadow? And a 35 Wheelen in a handgun, that's a beast. Is it legal to use the 35 as a primitive weapon in a handgun? I know you can use the rifle as long as it's a single shot. Very nice looking guns guys!!

The Herrett will easy do 150 yds...I took a good buck 3 years ago at 110 paces.no, you can't use a a pistol in our stupid "primitive weapons" season..I think Gene was probably talking about a rifle...Gene, take a look at the Burris pistol scopes...best ones I have found

Thx, Don, I will. My rifle is the T/C 35 Whelen SS, with a 3.3-10 Nikon. An easy shot at 200 yards.
The 30 Cal pistol I think is the Contender. Ima scope it and hope to get one with it. Had it for many, many yeas and Don made me think about it.

Nice!! Just curious is all. I thought about buying a single shot 35 whelen or 45-70 to catch the opener of primitive weapon on the 7th. I shoot a .300 Win. Mag during gun season, went to that last year, before that I used a .270 for 20+ years. Amazed at the distance with that pistol knightshadow, that's better then a iron sight brush buster like an ole 30-30. And yes primitive weapon rules are getting ridiculous now, misewell just let everyone shoot what they wanna shoot within in reason.. Lol..

Actually, that is not as good as a 7x30 Waters I have will do..It is a 200 yd. Gun in the right hands...I used to shoot several 100 rounds a year thru them..now I just hunt with them. I don't. Know that I would waste money anymore on a "primitive" rifle..I have a 444, and a 44mag...makes me sick to use them..I have two custom flintlocks gathering dust..
