    90hp 2 stroke

It's my neighbor's, trying to find somebody to take it to, he has some alarm buzzer going off when he starts it and needs to get it checked out. It's full of oil but has set for some time so it wouldn't hurt to have somebody take a look at it.

Send Slabin a PM. He may be able to help him out. If not he probably knows who to send him to. Plus he lives in hernando.

The only 2 reasons that I'm aware of for the alarm buzzer to go off for are overheating and low oil level or oil supplied to the motor. Not knowing the year I can only go on problems that I've heard of. If you have a good stream coming out of the discharge hose, then the water pump is working. The oil pump may not be working. If you have a reservoir under the cowl on the motor and the oil pump does not fill it up then the alarm will go off to warn you. This is the low oil level I was talking of. If you don't have the reservoir then the oil pump still may not be supplying oil to the motor. If you are getting the alarm as soon as you crank it then I kinda want to go with the oiling problem. This may give you a starting place to identify the problem. If not then I tried.

Sounds like the sensor in the oil tank. Those things are notorious for going out. If that isn't it, J&J marine in Batesville can fix it. 45 years experience. Dana Jackson is the man. 662-934-3850

We can fix it for ya too.

If alarm goes off soon as it is cranked bet 100% it's a sensor and bet again its the oil level sensor
