    Default Small air fryers

Anyone have one, not the big one that will fry a whole turkey but the smaller one that a close to $100. Carol was watching QVC, her favorite channel, and saw the demo and is how thinking about one but I just don't know, any help? The reviews went from 5 stars down to 1.

I have heard they are the cat's meow. Did a little research myself about a month ago but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

They really dont fry anything......they work similar to a convection oven. They cook good but its not fried.

I have a large one which I use for whole chicken and small turkey. Like G said, they are basically a convection oven.

I heard some really good things about air fryers from a couple friends , So I looked around and picked up a nuwave air fryer... We absoloutly love it And I love deep fried foods!

So from the beginning I said if the food tasted like baked or broiled I aint eating it....everything I haved cooked in it has been great...When it comes to french fry's just spray a little canola oil on the fry's just takes a little oil.. Same thing with fried chicken, dredge chicken as normal then spray with a little canola oil.

The model I have does a whole bird and cooks a large hen in about an hour. I can get the skin crispy and golden by slathering it with mayonaise before cooking. The bird is very good to taste but basically roasted.

I have not fried crappie... but I have fried swai fillets....There is very little difference in taste/texture in my opinion between air fryer and oil frying, Is there a little difference sure there is, but it's pretty darn close. I have cooked the following

    french fry's
    buffalo wings
    steak
    swai
    chicken legs/theighs
    slider burgers
    asperagus wrapped bacon
