    Default Letting Em Roll!!!!!

The COE report show all the big 4 gapped open pretty good with Nader leading the way at 3800cfs. The crest predictions seem unchanged, I had heard a COE officer say one time that with all 4 of them wide open they have little to no effect on the flooding in the Mississippi River Valley like we are fixing to have.

I always assumed they were built to alleviate flooding in the missippi and from backwaterflooding in the delta especially when the yazoo and others cant drain into the bigun.

I was wondering how earth they were to
able to let em roll with the MS River being so high but apparently it does not matter.

I used to think that as well but after talking to him came to realize it more to prevent flash flooding of the Yalobusha, Yocono, Tallahatchie, Coldwater, Yazoo and Little Tallahatchie bottoms.

Wouldn't surprise me if they closed the gates again when the Mississippi level starts making a significant rise at Vicksburg.

Wasn't meaning that snagging is bad, just saying with that much water coming down the spillway I know the snagger's would want to be there, heck I might even go myself...
