I love it Vonna, great job. Great camp. Vonna, you and Paul are now official crappie.com writers. Don't pay much, but guaranteed a good time.
We had a wonderful time, as always! Arrived Tuesday afternoon and we hit the water Wednesday morning. We caught lots of fish that were healthy and thick but, unfortunately, in the 11 to 11.5 inch range. These would have all been keepers at home, so it kinda hurt throwing them back. We picked up three keepers with the largest coming in at 15.5 inches. Thursday was pretty much the same. Friday, the wind was gusting to 20 mph, but we headed out anyway with "D"and Mae. Fishing was slower, but we managed to keep a couple and had a lot of laughs while we were out there. I was baking Saturday morning but Paul and Slab got out there for a few hours. No keepers, but they were catching some fish.
We had a crowd of 16 or 17 get together at the Catfish Hut Friday for supper. They've got some pretty tasty country fried steak and Tomtom and Mary's chicken livers looked really good, too. Now, if we can just get him to eat those with his fingers!
There was a ton of food at the cookout on Saturday and it was all outstanding! Nobody should've walked away hungry from that spread! Thanks to all the cooks for working so hard on such a great meal.
I missed getting a picture of Firebug and Canebreaker working so hard, too!
There were lots of nifty door prizes and really nice items in the raffle. We didn't win the Orca cooler (again), but we did win a set of SpyderLoks, which we love!
These camps are so much more than just fishing trips and this always ends up being part of the conversation around the campfire (or the glow of a crappie light on this trip since there was a burn ban). Of course, we all share the common bond of a love for crappie fishing, but it's at the crappie camps where we really get to learn bout each other and form the bonds of friendship. When Ed started crappie.com, I don't think he could have envisioned the broad impact this site would have, but I'm thankful that he had the idea!

Looks like great times. I see a big ol' KY boy in one of those pics. Hopefully we'll have some Mississippi folks at ours in a couple of weeks.
