Man I'm with you! We have a farm and EVERYTIME I got interested in taking it over after high school my grand father would throw a huge fit yelling that a farmer can not make it in this world! Hahahaha he has farmed his whole life, paid for the ground and ALL of his equipment, has a nice house and belongings and pretty much anything he wants. So I was discouraged from farming and went into nursing. But I keep scratching my head wondering what he meant about not being able to make it hahaha. I feel for ya tho super glue on your bad year. Definitely adds to the stress level.

Been farming in MS since 1806 in China grove. Almost made a profit once in the early 1900's great granddaddy said. Got really , really close to getting out of debt back then. Who knows, maybe this will be the century to make a dollar or two!!

My uncle in Michigan has apple orchards. Remember him as a kid crying the blues all summer about a late freeze killing his blossums and not having a harvest. But went all year without spraying or paying pruners and pickers. Laughed all the way to the bank when the subsidy checks came. I aint saying farming is simple and my hats off to all farmers. But the bs sessions get old.
