From my email earlier today to the state.

Yes. The reciprocal license agreements with Alabama and Tennessee for Pickwick Lake recognize both resident and non-resident licenses.

Does a non-resident license work the same as a resident license at Pickwick and it's Reciprocal Agreement?

tn recriprocal agreement(where you can fish with a tn license)
    Alabama/Mississippi
Pickwick Lake: Applies to anyone with a valid
Sport Fishing License from Tennessee, Alabama
or Mississippi. Resident anglers of the three
states may fish without purchasing a nonresident
license anywhere within the boundaries covered
by the agreement. The reciprocal area includes all
impounded water from Pickwick Dam upstream
to Tennessee River Mile 224.8 at the mouth of
Bear Creek but does not include Bear Creek and
does not include that portion of Yellow Creek
above the Hwy. 25 Bridge. Sport fishing license
holders shall abide by the regulations of the state
in whose waters they are fishing

JP Coleman has nice cabins and Tennessee State Park has nice cabins....they are both on the water...JP Coleman is in mississippi waters smack dab in the middle of the lake....short run to bear creek and also a short run to yellow creek from JP....JP coleman is also located inside of indian creek which also offers some nice fishing. TN state park is up closer to the dam and will have much easier access to gas stations, nice restraunts, and all that good stuff....let me know if i can help. As far as crappie fishing, im not much help as I just started crappie fishing this spring but have fished pickwick a lot and caught everything at pickwick now from crappie, to largemouth, to smallmouth, to drum, to flathead, to blue cats, to stripes....
