Default Wildlife Commission Approves Deer Baiting Change

Hunters will no longer have to be out of sight of a deer feeder as long as it's 100 yards away.
The Mississippi Commission of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks approved a change proposed in August that would do away with the "line of sight" restriction in the supplemental feeding law.

Some folks say corn is like candy to deer. I think all deer should have candy at least once a day.

There goes planting a food plot also. Most people(including me) will just buy corn and at the end of the season the corn feeding will stop. A food plot just keeps on feeding after the deer season. But they are expensive and a lot of work to keep up or make. Won't ever be able to have a garden if the deer get hungry. Really not fair for bow hunter either or people with small food plots not 100' long. I bet the TV show Listen To The Eagle will be lit up talking about this next week.

With this change "officially" making baiting legal I think they should rename it from deer hunting season to deer shooting season. Come to think of it, with all the weapons allowed now I don't know why we can't use dynamite. Just saying...

Ree"s is right about helping the Co-ops. Our Co-op here in our town said that if it was not for the deer hunters each year they would have to close the store. They told a story about one day one of the local game wardens came in and was standing around talking to different ones. After a while they told him he was going to have to leave their store, because people that came in would see him and not buy the corn they had came to buy. P.S. you can probably look for corn prices to go up because of the increased demand.
