Default Serious question for the retired geezers..............

This is a serious question. Do ya'll miss work, or get bored? I have some retired friends who say they had to find a part time job, or were bored day in and day out and couldn't stand it. Personally, I don't see how anyone could be bored when being free to do what they pleased......but my friend say they felt that way also, before they retired. Thoughts?

There are many days that I feel bored. There are also many days that I am glad that I am not tied down to a full time job.

Myself.....and friends I know that have hobbies do just fine. The ones that I know that do not have any hobbies are the ones that get bored. I love retirement.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Retired and not bored. Worked for a few years after retirement, and finally said to myself "This ain't working". If I get bored, I go fishing. In the winter, I go hunting.

Work more now than ever . Everyone knows you are available .For me it was a matter of not wanting to deal with kids anymore .

Not quite retired yet, but I am bored with work...I need something more challenging like trying to keep up with Billbob and Ed. Serious question for the retired geezers..............

Keep busy, get involved with community affairs ( be part of your HOA) get into a hobby
fishing - working with model trains - your yard - garden - After a while you will wonder
why you do not enough time to do anything. Start wondering how you made it and still
    worked a full week.

Worked for a year after I retired then I fired myself. My wife and I share many interests and we stay busy going and doing. Fishing, hunting, prison ministry. Since I retired I find I can take all day just to do one thing and barely get it done. I would not retire if I had nothing to do but sit.

I've been retired for six years and absolutely love it! I stay so busy with gardening, hunting, fishing, and grandkid activities that I don't see how I ever found time to work!
