no pics it didn't happen
My camper hasn't been used since fall camp. About Christmas I went to get some stuff out of it and smelled some mildew. The bathroom ceiling was wet and black mold growing. I covered it with a tarp to keep it dry and an utility heater to dry it faster.
The guy I bought it from had placed some 12" tile on the ceiling. Made of newspaper it soaked up the water. Most of the ceiling was down to the foam center board. I replaced the ceiling with 1/8" plywood with a few coats of white poly paint. A few boards are still holding it up from the floor as the Liquid Nail cures.
I got a few good days to work on the roof. After removing a few layers of different types of sealers I found the area around the bathroom skylight and vent to be 3/8" lower than the rest of the roof. So all repairs didn't help since it would hold water when the camper was level. I did some measuring, cut a sheet of 5/32" plywood a few inches larger than the area. Cut the holes for the vent and skylight then split it in half to slide it into one of the holes without cutting the skin. I measured another sheet of 5/32" plywood a bit larger that the two flanges as one piece, split it and slide it in. The two splits don't line up. I put a good coating of Liquid Nail under and between the 2 sheets. I lined the edge of the holes with bricks and covered it up again with the tarp.
The vent has a metal flange, so cleaning it for reuse isn't a problem. The skylight flange was cracked at every mounting hole. I got to looking at a few online camper stores. Only to find they were standard size, either to small or large for what I needed. The flange measures 18 1/2" x 21 1/2". The price started at $100 and up. I googled skylights and found a site that would custom size one for $96 shipped. I found a 19" x 22" one on ebay $47 shipped. It should be here tuesday. Camping World has sealers on sale at their online site a lot cheaper than my Good Sam"s card will get me at the local store. They should be here thursday.
Thats not it....no flower pot heaters lol
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
