    Default My father.....


    Some of you are aware that my father has been in poor health for the last few years. I learned about the compassion of this community several years ago when I was still a newb and my father was going through heart surgery in Memphis, I was amazed by the outpouring of well wishers while I waited in the cardio ICU waiting room in Baptist at Memphis.

    After another heart surgery yesterday, my father left us this morning at 10:20 a.m.. I am not sure I am still a fisherman. What will I do? I miss him already...............

    Take your father fishing one more time...... Pretend it is the last time you get to fish with him. It may be. I have that. We single poled Grenada the Spring of 14. He said " Put your hook right there" like he always did........ he was usually right. He always was.

    Christmas will never be the same......

    Prayers sent for comfort and strength for you and your family. It will get better in time.......my Dad passed in 1981........I feel like he is still with me everytime I am in the boat. Memories last forever.
    I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

    So sorry for your loss. I too have lost my father, 2004. With his 5 sons around him his last words were, 'This is the day I prepared you for'. It took awhile to realize the impact of those words. I have no doubt he still influences my decisions daily. I feel certain your father will as well.

    So Sorry....Prayers are with you and your family. Lost my Father about 3 years ago and my brother a month ago. You just have to trust and have faith in the plan.

    So sorry for your lost. Life itself will never be the same, but GOD will get you through this and your dad will be waiting on you when it's your time. A TRUELY sad time for you and yours on earth, but a celebration is going on in Heaven for your fathers arrival. GOD chose your father as His CHRISTmas gift.
