Default Taking Some Getting Used Too

In the last few months I have been forced to get into the Mac world of computers, totally new to me and different to say the least. Jumping back and forth between my Windows laptop and then to a Mac desktop didn't seem to be helping much either so I picked up a Mac laptop. Have to say I am impressed, didn't get anything NEW as what we have been using is the first OS X 10.1 Tiger stuff and some of our programs actually need to boot in the older OS 9 version so that helped as far as expensive.
Was on the Windows early tonight for a little bit and got back on the Apple and its day and night difference, even tho I am only running 756 MB and when I get it to 2 GB of Ram it should do quite well.
The Mac stuff has really had me pulling my hair out for the last couple of months but its coming together nicely, never understood why folks liked em so much but its getting pretty clear now.

How did you get forced into it ? People that like Macs really like them , but I never have really understood why. The others just seem easier to operate to me.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I don't like much apple oriented myself. Now If I was a graphic designer the story might be different 😀

I am beginning to for sure. Things that I did on the windows program dont work the same on the Mac but once you figure it out it seems to work better and smoother. Operating systems is fun and research has to be done not to order something you dont need or cant use, especially with the desk models. Laptops are so bad, seem to run whatever you want as long as you have the memory for it. One thing I do like is the update system and NO pop ups, that part is a lot better with little to no expense.

After I got home with mine, I ran into 52 problems that I couldn't figure out. So I made a list and was going to a free seminar that Best Buy gives every two weeks. By the time the two weeks rolled around, I had solved 51 of them. The 1 that I haven't figured out, when they transferred my wife and my pictures from my Dell they put them all together in a backup file. At some point in time I need to put her's in her account and mine into my account. There's over 1000 of them. That said, I love this machine. I don't think I could ever go back to the other system. All my friends told me I had lost my mind when I told them I had bought a Mac Desk top. If I did, I'm glad I did.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

My Dell crashed a couple of years ago and I went to Best Buy to get another but the sales guy asked me if I'd ever seen the Mac. I said "no" and he asked if I had a minute to look at it. I did and walked out with the Mac. Love it and got my iPhone 5 a few days later and the two sync so well together. Couldn't go back. Got an iPad now too.
