Man, those look good. I made a double batch of coon balls this past weekend for a Veterans Day thing at a local school. Never tried the biscuits.

I believe I may have to cook a batch of them. I ain't much around a stove or oven unless it's baking jig heads or making Country Fried Steak with gravy and blackeye peas. Is there a grilled version? Maybe apple wood smoked coon balls?

Hey Shine you can ask ole Feesh. Neighbor had a big ole apple tree blow down awhile back and I got the whole thing chopped and split in pile. When I cook on the grill I let some soak in water for about 15 minutes and use it. Love that apple wood flavor.

That is some fine wood for grilln/smokn. Heck of a windfall for you!!! (pun intended) LOL....I have been using the chips from Lowes every time I fire the charcoal side of the grill up. I was in a hurry the other night and is the first time I have used the gas side. Kinda just felt bad for not cooking over the coals and wood chips. PM me that recipe for the coon balls please. I may have to survive on them if the in-laws screw up next week!
