    Default FJ's

My understanding from last year was that as long as your group was not sponsored, then you did not need a permit. Arkabutla is the only lake we HAVE EVER HAD a problem, so maybe drop it from the schedule.

I was rules committee chairman for 2 years and all the positions with the FJ series is a thankless job. No one wants to do it but they step up and do it, then a problem arises and ya'll want to chop off heads. There will always be questions about rules and they will have to be enforced or new ones brought in.

The TD had to make a call from what I understand and I would have made the same call.

We started these to bring kids and have fun, but I feel the "Money" makes it too competitive and people lose sight of the purpose. So all of ya'll that want to raise H&ll keep on and the FJ series will be dead. no one wants to fish and be miserable.

Torch, I agree with you but dont want to see Butla dropped, too good of stringers caught there the last 2 years. I say lets jump through whatever hoops we have to there and if we have to buy a permit then just up the entry acoordingly, 10 bucks per boat and the extra goes into the pot. Would be a shame to drop this lake.

I agree.. too good to drop. Let's just take the permit money out of pot. Don't raise fee. Just pull equal amount from all winning places.

Not sure how much the permit costs but the Corps needs to get their act together. If 3 Corps lakes say we didn't need a permit but bulta says we do, something is wrong!!!

At Grenada we were told a 100 bucks, each lake is dependant on its lake manager. They can wave the fee and issue the permit or just not require one which is what they did at Grenada.
