If you can't figure out which way the wind is coming into a ramp, you don't need to be launching a boat. What if you have a north or northeast wind?

Why not everybody just stay where ever they want to and we have the cook out at the pavillion by the dam where there is a good roof overhead and plenty of room to park trucks and boats by it ? The pavillion by the dam was what was discussed when we voted. I will go where ever the cook out is, but I think the pavillion is the best place for it. Y'all decide and I'll follow.

I didn't say a darn thing about having the fall camp at the Holiday Lodge. If you hard-headed folks will read the next to last line, it says "would be a good place to stay for fall camp". Not one word about moving it to HL. Yikes, you can't get a decent room in Batesville for $65.00. Add the gas back and forth plus the motel and you spend a $100.00 a day. Everybody doesn't have a camper already set up at the campground.

You also have easier assess to modern hotels and ethenoyl free gas in Batesville. It's a 10+ mile drive to get to a ramp with any wind protection. Also you can only launch two at a time and the ramp is very steep so we would have to watch ES carefully.

Like I said I am not deciding on anything else as far as Fall camp is concerned. Camp is set up for the camp grounds and so far as I know so is the cooking. And as far as PANNIES , you would know more about them than I would!
