    Default Happy Crankbait Season Everyone!!!!

If you haven't heard.....it's offically crankbait season at Sardis. You can now leave your long poles at the house, pass by the bait shop and proceed directly to the ramp for launching.

Be sure to fill your tackle box with baits that have various shades of pink, a few with lot's of black and maybe a Sardis Gold thrown in for general principle.

    Good luck boys! Gitter dun.:D

Yikees uses short rods and planer boards.

Sorry G-3, I forgot that some you of guys use your long poles for this type of fishing. I personally hate my long poles. In fact, it's one of the best days of the year when I can break them down and leave them in the garage until late fall. I have found that I can have a wider spread and better control of the fish with shorter, stiffer poles with planer boards especailly when you have several on at at time and the wind gets up combined with boat traffic and water nats. Using planer boards I can easily have a 130 foot spread and cover more water than with a couple of 16 foot poles off each side.

Major, this is your time to shine. With your enthusiasm and recent investment (minus upcoming Terrrova) you are by far one of the most prepared fisherman on this board. We need you up hear in the big four, every weekend making it happen with the rest of us.
