I'm coming to realize you boys don't know dip about boats.

If you gonna go, go big, just bust on you a Bullet 21XD with a 280 offshore and chopped mid, a Titus case and a worked Bravo prop around 32". You'd be looking at 110 mph if you had the nads to stay in the throttle. No chance of getting wet neither cause you'd only be in the water about 1/2 the time. 'Course, if you prefer that new motor smell, you could always go with a 250 Pro XS and save all the custom work. You'd still be scaring a hunnert, again, with proper manly equipment. Although, you'd have to step down all the way to a 30" wheel.

Funny thing is, that boat is 21' 10" of pure fishing machine on top of being a world class speedster. It's play heck on my do though.

I like it a lot, but needs MO MOTOR purty bad.

I believe it's rated for 250, last perf report I saw on one of them
    I think it barely broke 60 with a 225 or 250.

That 150 I'd guess you're looking at hi 40's on that boat.

Well shoot J, I'm gonna put a 15 kicker on it. You'd think with 165 HP total, it'd hit 45?

That ain't a go fast boat no matter what HP you put on it. No sir, that's a, I ain't getting wet no matter what boat.

Maybe. I tried to do some calculations for ya, assumed a 9 pitch on the
kicker and 2:00 gear ratio, but I'm not sure on the escape velocity of
the rods and pistons on a 15 horse Anyhoo, I roughly figured
it'd only have to turn 10,600 rpms to keep up @ 45 mph :D

You right Bigger, but the way I've been doing it lately, you couldn't call that fishing neither. Might as well have a dry ride while I'm at it.
